This route offers ideal conditions for a relaxed ride, even in the cool and wet seasons. The path is mostly not very muddy (50% grass asphalt & 50% gravel) – perfect for enjoying the winter sun, the autumn colours and the wide panoramas, leaving everyday life behind.
This varied gravel or, more precisely, groad route takes you to the heights around Bütgenbach. Via Elsenborn and Nidrum, it descends to the valley of the Warche river and the dam of Lake Robertville. From there, the route runs uphill to Walk and Faymonville along Reinhardstein Castle. The final kilometres in the Bütgenbach Heck allow you to switch off completely and find peace and quiet.
A groad route combines gravel (50%) and (gr)asphalt (50%) to create a varied mix of natural paths and roads – ideal for relaxed exploration of the countryside.
Grassphalt is an old, rarely used road surface on which nature is slowly returning. Grass grows between the cracks – a sign of peace and tranquillity.
