This route is neither technically nor conditionally difficult, so it is actually an ideal lap to enjoy the beautiful panoramas and the beautiful nature to the fullest.
You start at the church and descend to the lake. After 1.7 km you leave the RAVeL and you drive through the woods to the shore of Lake Bütgenbach, which you also leave quickly. You follow the signs that direct you along the street a bit in the direction you come from. You drive under the RAVeL, cross the street and then via a nice single track back to the RAVeL. You drive to the lake again, cross the bridge and follow the bank of the lake.
When you finally turn your back on the lake you drive via traffic-free streets to Wirtzfeld and Krinkelt. Enjoy the panoramas and the peaceful nature. You drive through the nature reserve of the Holzwarche (daffodils in spring – beautiful viewpoint) and then climb to the highest point of the route near Mürringen.
From Honsfeld, at km 20, the underground of the route changes. Asphalt now has to give way to forest roads and some beautiful single trails. The beautiful valleys follow one another and seem to compete for beauty.
The route ends far too quickly with a final ascent from Schoppen to Bütgenbach via the forests of Zur Schleid.
