MTB 2 Am Schwarzen Hügel

You start at the church and drive towards Nidrum. Once you have crossed the Warche river, turn left and follow the river (the Warche) for 1 km. On leaving the Warche valley you may have to descend for the short, steep climb that takes you out of the valley.

You will change direction and now head for the heights around Weywertz, which you will quickly leave again when you descend into the Warche Valley for the second time.

An ascent of about 1 km brings you to the “Schlangenvenn“. Clouds do indeed seem to brew together more menacingly and darker over the fields here than elsewhere. This place sometimes resembles a black mountain.

Via Nidrumer Heck you drive to Elsenborn and then to Berg. Here you can enjoy beautiful views everywhere and chill on your bike.

You cycle along a path along Lake Bütgenbach to Seestraße, which takes you back to the church of Bütgenbach, your starting point.
