In crossbiathlon, participants do not have to be cross-country skiers, biathletes or sport shooters. On the contrary, crossbiathlon is a form of biathlon, where the participants cover a certain running lap several times. After each running lap, they shoot with laser rifles. Laser shooting is a discipline suitable for beginners and everyone.

Distances, categories and penalty laps:
U12 (2012-2015): 1,4 km (4*350 m), penalty round 75 m
U14 (2010-2011), U17 (2007-2009), women and men: 4.8 km (4*1.2 km), penalty loop 150 m
Women and men: 8,4 km (4*2,1 km), penalty loop 150 m
After the last shooting the runner has to run the penalty laps and/or run directly into the finish.

Shooting:
Shooting will be done with laser rifles. Each participant, regardless of distance, must go to the shooting range four times (i.e. after each running round) with 5 shots each time.
U12: Shooting with a buck, prone only
U14: shooting without a buck, prone only
U17 (2007-2009) and women and men: shooting prone and standing, shooting order: prone – standing – prone – standing (4.8 km and 8.4 km)

Procedure:

First start: 10.00 a.m. – every 5 or 10 minutes 5 or 6 runners start.
U9, U12 and U14: start between 10.00 and 10.45 a.m.
U17 and up: start between 11.00 and 12.00 o’clock
We will inform you about the exact start times two days before the start.
Be present about 1 hour before your start to pick up your starting documents, to do the running lap as a warm-up, to have a look at the start-finish zone (+ penalty loop) and to try shooting (—-> 2 training stands on the soccer field).
